Stephen Jacobs came up with this fun concept for a Coca-Cola® Canteen that could be a special edition packaging design. The idea is to honor those who have served our country in any way (past and present) through military efforts.

This aluminum canteen bottle design reflects the rigid military hardware with an embossed non-slip hand grip, a generic screw-top canteen lid, and a vibrant red camouflage pattern for an authentic look. The can’s backside contains “thank you” messaging to those who are currently, or have been, in the military.  The 16 oz. slender body style would sell at point-of-purchase venues, with the design made for easy of use in a standardized cup holders. The 2-liter version would fit in a refrigerator at standard height. Plus, the environmentally correct canteen could be recycled! Read More...

Brian is what you would call an early adopter of Mac products, so it should not be a surprise that he was one of the first to get the iPhone 4. Upon its arrival (1 day early), he yet again had the self-restraint to delay opening the box in order to create another stop-motion unboxing video. It is similar in feel to his iPad video, with the device seemingly unboxing itself, although Brian does make a brief cameo appearance at the end of this one. Once again he used a Nikon D300 with remote to shoot the images, ending up with over 600 shots, and taking just under two hours to complete. Read More...

ZA recently completed two more TV spots with First Financial Bank. The creative is very different – and that’s on purpose. The style, visuals and message are meant to reach two different audiences, yet keep the same feeling in the branding of the bank. Read More…

Digital Photography Never Looked So Analog
The Hipstamatic is an iPhone application that brings back the look, feel, unpredictable beauty, and fun of plastic toy cameras from the past. With a swipe of the finger, change your lens, flash, or film, then shoot and wait while your picture “develops”.

One by one, it seems everyone in Creative is downloading this app after Brian showed us how hip it was and got us all hooked. Here are a couple of examples from each designer: Read More...

This week’s post is ZA’s second :30 TV spot for First Financial Bank (the first can be found here), with the continued theme of the bank being named number one in the nation by Bank Director Magazine. The featured commercial focuses on the many services FFB offers in its various locations – from West Texas to the Metroplex. The great thing about FFB is they offer all these services, with lots of personal service – whether their bank location is big or small. That’s a great story to tell. Read More...

We have many visitors up at ZA, but a few are a little less welcome – the myotis lucifugus (more commonly known as the little brown bat) is one such visitor. The bats have been fairly regular visitors, dropping in to say hello, fly laps across the office, or swoop down right over our heads and check in on our work. Read More…

Last week’s release of the iPad from Apple brought new excitement to the ZA office. Our resident Mac aficionado Brian Stark was one of the first in town to receive one right off the assembly line, and he decided to document the unboxing process firsthand. Rather than filming the process or taking an occasional picture, he decided to create a stop-motion video of his experience. Popular Apple blog TUAW ran an article featuring his video, which helped it generate over 45,000 viewings! (Vimeo link here) Read More...
