Giving yourself a break

Networking is hard work. Really. It takes a lot of energy to talk to people, to listen and to keep up with your contacts by logging them into your data base, writing thank you’s, et al.

So, give yourself a break.  Take some mental health time.  Go for coffee–alone.  Really, find time to recharge and regroup.  You’ll feel better.

Time alone allows you to stop and think and put things in perspective.  We all need to feel as if we are in control of ourselves, so it is important to take a few moments and think back, think forward and event think of right now so you can recharge.

A burned-out networker isn’t any good to anyone.

Relentless
