Best and Worst Cities to Work In

As a follow up to my earlier post about shows fleeing cities: here is a list from a recent LinkedIn discussion by trade show professionals on the 5 best and worst cities to work in:

From and exhibitor or exhibit house point of view list the TOP 5 MOST DIFFICULT cities to work in:

  1. Philadelphia
  2. Chicago
  3. New York
  4. Boston
  5. Las Vegas

From and exhibitor or exhibit house point of view list the TOP 5 BEST cities to work in:

  1. Atlanta
  2. Dallas
  3. Denver
  4. Orlando
  5. Ft. Lauderdale

An interesting discussion. Kind of parallels the cost and other issues I outlined. If it is easier to work with people and trades in a city plus the other factors (weather, cost, location), why stay in the Rust Belt?

Thanks to Marc Mousseau, Moose Exhibits, for starting and leading this discussion.
